Custom lockers, benches and cabinets that make one of your home's busiest spaces work harder, for boots, backpacks, coats and everything else that lands by the door.

Can you do this in my room?
Our mudrooms are built around three things: somewhere to sort, somewhere to work, and somewhere to put it away. Per-person lockers with benches and cubbies is usually part of the plan, with utilities kept accessible.
Nothing is manufactured until you have seen it drawn. You approve the layout, the finishes and the price first, so the only surprise is how much room you get back.

How we design mudrooms
A mudroom only works if every person in the house has an obvious place to put their things down. We design by headcount: one locker bay per family member, each with a hook at that person's reach height, a bench section, a boot cubby underneath and a bin above for hats and gloves. Children's hooks go low enough that coats actually get hung instead of dropped, and the bays get relocated upward as kids grow because the standards are adjustable.
Durability is the other half of the job. This is the wettest, dirtiest room in the house, so benches and cubby floors are specified in the same furniture-grade melamine we use in garages, and open cubbies are preferred at floor level where snow and mud can dry. Where the room doubles as the laundry entrance or the garage entrance, we plan a closed cabinet for cleaning supplies away from the coats.
Mudrooms often sit in a hallway width of five to seven feet, so bench depth is a real constraint. Your designer measures the swing of the exterior door and the walking lane before committing to a depth, which is the difference between a bench you sit on and one you edge past.

Mudrooms questions, answered
How much does a custom mudroom cost?
Mudrooms are priced per linear foot across four levels: Essential Drop Zone $335, Standard Locker System $617, Premium Built-In $799 and Designer Built-In $865 per foot. Bench seating, closed cabinetry and per-person locker bays are the elements that move a mudroom up the range; open cubbies and hooks keep it down.
How many locker bays do I need?
We design by headcount, one bay per family member, each with a hook at that person's reach height, a bench section, a boot cubby below and a bin above. Hooks for young children go low enough that coats actually get hung, and the standards are adjustable so bays move up as kids grow.
How wide does a mudroom bench need to be?
Depth matters more than width. Your designer measures the swing of the exterior door and the walking lane before setting bench depth, because in a five- to seven-foot-wide hallway that dimension is the difference between a bench you sit on and one you edge past.
Will a mudroom system hold up to snow and mud?
Benches and cubby floors use the same furniture-grade melamine we specify for garages, and we favor open cubbies at floor level so wet boots can dry. Cleaning supplies go in a closed cabinet away from the coats.
