We believe you deserve it. Diplomat Closet Design is a locally owned custom storage company in Downingtown, Pennsylvania. We design, manufacture and install everything ourselves, measured by hand, drawn to fit, made here.
What we believe

Most storage is designed around the room. We design around the person: the way you dress, the way your family comes through the back door, the way groceries actually get unpacked.
That is why every project begins in your home rather than on a display floor, and why we would rather talk you out of a feature you will not use than sell it to you.

Our mission is simple: provide our customers with not only an innovative product, designed with intention and purpose, but also a great collaborative experience. Today, we continue to be a leading provider of custom closets, storage shelving and built-in cabinetry for bedrooms, home offices, garages and pantries in Southeastern Pennsylvania, Delaware and the Jersey Shore.
We’ve learned to focus on three basic values, whether in the office or in a customer’s home: communicate openly, act respectfully and with compassion, and remain humble. It’s because of these values that we’ll continue to grow and be a contributing member of the community.

We live in the communities we serve across Pennsylvania, Delaware and New Jersey, and we understand the styles and needs of the buildings here, from historic properties and city rowhomes to new construction and the modern residences along the Delaware beaches.
Manufactured in-house
We build in our own Downingtown production facility. That means our quality is higher, our turnaround times are faster and our flexibility is greater, we control quality, timelines and finishes instead of explaining someone else's delays.
White-glove service
Floors protected, debris removed, hardware adjusted, and a walkthrough before we leave. You should not have to clean up after us.

Laura Bryan
Chief Operating Officer
Oversees all aspects of the company's operations, from sales and design to marketing, pre-production, manufacturing and installation.
Keely Dadamo
Chief Financial Officer
Oversees the financial statements, contributes to the annual budget, and manages payroll and HR so the business side runs smoothly.
Mike Ianieri
General Manager
Keeps design, production and installation moving together day to day out of our Downingtown facility.
Diane Paolo
Senior Accountant
Handles the company's accounting, from invoicing and reconciliations to reporting for the finance team.
Chris Ranalli
Senior Design Consultant
Works with clients from the first in-home consultation through the 3D renderings and final selections.
Anita Bedwell
Scheduling & Purchasing Coordinator
Books consultations and installations and orders the materials each project needs so dates hold.
Charlene DeFrees
Pre-Production Coordinator
Supports each project on its path from design to production, keeping details accurate before anything reaches the shop floor.
Kenzie Guensch
Design Consultant
Meets with clients, measures the space and designs the system around how the room is actually used.

Guides clients through layout, finishes and accessories, from first measurements to final drawings.

Designs closets, pantries and built-ins around the way each household actually lives.

Shop Manager
Runs the production floor in Downingtown, where every panel and door is cut and finished.

Lead Installer
Leads installations in clients' homes, protecting the space and walking through the finished system.

Builds and preps components in the shop so each project arrives complete on install day.
